Submitting Patches

Attention! For all you programmers out there:

Do you have some new features or changes you'd love to see put into the game? Are those lazy dm's just too busy with "real life" to code it? Do you have some programming experience? Well you're in luck!

If you'd like to submit some minor (or major) patches for 1) new features 2) tweaks, or 3) bug fixes....either contact Bane in game or send him an email (bane \at rohonline.net) to discuss what you'd like to do.

Once you've discussed your ideas and plans, grab a copy of the game files needed to run and test the code and a copy of the latest code from SVN, program your changes, test them, and submit a diff (.patch) file containing your features to Bane via email. He'll review them and likely put your code into service. (Make sure you discuss what you want to do before hand so you don't send a patch that goes against the DM's ideas for the mud!)

Not only will you get to see the changes you want, but we'll even put your name in as a contributor if you so desire.
