Changes - Version 2.47
Thursday, March 15th, 2012 at 1:26 pm
Here are some changes that will be going live with version 2.47 later today or later this week.

1) The Vampire class has been renamed to Pureblood.
A) The vampirism affliction is still being worked on (No we don't need testers yet, don't ask).
2) Werewolves & Liches are no longer creatable by new players, existing wolves & liches will remain for the time being, but in the future will likely be converted to Monks and Mages of equivalent level.
A) Lycanthropy is being moved to an affliction and is still in testing (We'll tell you when we need testers, don't ask)
B) Becoming a Lich in the future will be a ritual performed by high level Mages and possibly Clerics and it will become a permanent "affliction". Benefits/penalties will be of a similar nature to vampirism and lycanthropy
3) Disease, creeping-doom, and festering-wounds are no longer broken and will now correctly damage your character. You have been warned.
4) Proxy access (May be delayed until 2.47a) to other characters is being put in. What this means is you'll be able to give access to your character to other people, without giving them your password. Proxied characters are unable to suicide or change passwords.

A helpfile will be written up when this goes live, but essentially at the login prompt, you'll enter "<Character> <as/for> <Proxied Char>" ie: "Bane as Plu", if you have proxy access you'll be prompted for your password, and then allowed to log in the proxied character. If the proxied character is already logged on, you will not be permitted to boot them off.
