It would be nice if you could choose whether or not the death of the perms you killed would be broadcasted to the mud. In a lot of situations this broadcast can be disadvantagous to the player doing the killing. If someone is, for instance, trying to pkill you, and you kill a perm they know right where you are. Also I think permdeath broadcasts contribute to farming of perms by letting everyone know when a perm dies, and thus, when it will be back again. It just seems like there is enough cause to at least let the player choose if a particular perm kill gets broadcasted to the mud.

What does everyone else think?

I came from Isengard, where there was no perm death announce. When I switched over here, my first instinct was, "Wow, that makes pkilling SO much easier."

But I do think it gives others the opportunity to catch loot perms, if they really did want it, by making note of when they were killed as you mentioned. It actually works against perms being monopolized by one group/person (as they became to be on Isengard).

Pkilling isn't so vigorous these days. And perms will always be farmed; it's just a matter of who does it.

Since pkilling isn't such a big issue at the moment, I do not think it's necessary to turn it off. But if you are concerned about perms being farmed, I did bring up the idea of making perm respawn timers non-static (ie. having them randomly spawn between 1-1.5 hours, instead of just 1). This would be a huge step away from tradition, though, nor do I know how hard it would be to implement.

I think all perms should be made to have to be killed by groups of 10. :P

It would be awesome to have some "end-game" content, but alas, that would need a lot more added combat mechanics to make it fun (ie. Bane's proposed hate sysetem *cough).

I'd love to have time to code it...but real life comes first =/
