I've actually wanted to get rid of alignment in it's current form for a long time....There's a post oce had somewhere that's floating around about a new align system that I'd personally like much better.

Its not that I disagree with you on it, its the fact that ones there and one isn't. I'll look at the vile code and see if I can produce something that will work for Ceris.

Disaron....Settle the fuck down. The way you talk, it seems like you're acting like a change made to the mud was done with the sole purpose of just to screw you. Hell, you're acting like everything done that you disagree with was done just to SCREW DISARON! Man what is wrong with you? Let me tell you...you are NOT that important. Nobody is. We don't think about screwing people over before we go to bed at night. It just takes too much energy and is a complete waste of time, and it's also counterproductive to the purpose of running a mud. Why the hell would anybody running a mud go out of the way to chase players off who don't deserve it? I know YOU don't deserve it..so what gives? Be rational, bro! C'mon...
Somebody fucked up, and the skulls were messed. I cannot count how many times thats happened here in the past, and it's even more likely to happen here, with the changes to the combat system nobody is completely used to yet! As for the deal with people all seeing all the quests and everybody knowing everything...do you actually consider this a completely functioning MUD now that has 100 players on all the time? If or when we reach that point, and then everybody still knows everything (they probably will, considering we have a WIKI up, btw, which will be added to eventually over time), THEN you can bitch. Don't bitch about what goes on in a BETA mud! LOL....dude before this goes to full production, when we're done (quite alot of time before that happens), we're going to WIPE anyway!!! So why the hell does it matter? You're a PLAYTESTER...whether you like it or not! LOL. Man if you want a fully functional gaming experience, RoH is NOT the place for it right now, let me tell you.
As Bane mentioned, if somebody wants to bitch, then bitch productively, help us FIX whatever's broken, or GTFO. It's tiring when players whip everybody to death with their hyperbole (i.e. DOWN SYNDROME)....everybody had enough of that in the past...it's probably 90% of the reason the MUD was dead for over 2 years. I know it's why I stopped caring and left.
Now..this all being said...I'm sorry, Usagi, but I'm going to have to throw you in jail for "exploiting" screaming skulls (completely fabricated charge), and also for being the cause of starting this dumbass thread! :P

Damn, Ocelot just took the words out of my mouth. But what I WAS going to say ...
... I agree with everything Dom and Bane has mentioned. Thank you for clearing this up. I don't think these changes were made to screw anyone over (especially if it was never mentioned or player tested) so my concern is really more about finding a balance/fix than trying to throw the blame on someone.
I understand that things are busy around here. I'm a lazy bastard myself, which is why I totally give props to everyone who has offered to step up and tidy up the place. It's why I try my best to point out bugs, weird imbalances, and offer some rational suggestions. Like I've always said, if you don't have anything better to offer, I don't think it's fair complain about it. This post wasn't meant to be turned into a cry about "omg u guyz r fuxing me over" but really just another pointer to strange things that might have happened with the implementation of new code.

That is the incorrect answer! I've seen the side of things that you have to deal with, and can understand where you are coming from. It's why I would rather not get myself involved with it. It's ruined MUDing for me once already.
But if you have the creative juices flowing, enjoy coding, or whatever ... I don't see why you should let anyone stop you from doing that.
And of course, part of the job is realizing that there's no way you can make everyone happy. If you feel like what you do is right, why worry yourself with what others say anyways?
In short: Don't let jerks like Ocelot drag you down.
