So ... it looks like Plu and Hiou were bugged first.

horizon. It does not move, but you can not make out what it is
either. You hear the cackle of chains being dragged across a
floor in the distance.

A config file got hosed, so anybody who tried to log into the map made it crash. All better now, and I'll track down what broke the config file in the first place.
