Kamira can't not use range weapons. Also Kamira can't cast heal.
Ceris can only use crushing, polearms and range weapons.
Ares clerics can't cast heal either, can't use silver two handed swords, skeleton bone, silver battle axe.
Please make a note of that when weapon training.

You could also just read help clerics.

Well, there's a difference between the weapon type restrictions, and individual weapon limitations. Just because Ares can't use silver two handed swords, skeleton bone, silver battle axe doesn't mean there aren't other great-swords, daggers(?), and great-axes.
