Search around tradetown and Durgas Falls...there are some interesting creatures about.

Elfin whips can be found on elf maidens in Silverhand in Tradetown.
It's off of Blacksand Road.

It seems the elf maidens only come during the daytime but it's a nighttime exit.
so when day/night border hits, get in there and kill a few maidens.
