Usually when I parry or dodge, my defense skill goes up rather than parry or dodge.. The response to that was that parry/dodge aren't meant to raise at all. However, I do get parry and dodge raises occasionally.. shrug

Just ignore it - the parry/dodge skills don't matter anyways.
