What does pray do for an Ares cleric? Hit harder like paladin/vig?

Sephiroth

Backstab and berserk both multiply onto weapon damage, but not bonus damage. Backstab multipliers can be found in rogues.cpp.

For assassins, it's 3.25x under level 10, 3.75x under 13, 4x under 16, all the way up to 6x at level 30. For thief it's a little lower.

If you're multiclass assassin, the MAX multiplier you can have at any level is 4x.

The bug with failed backstabs has been fixed. It was causing the assassin to delay 0.3-0.9 seconds instead of 3-9.

Collect some data. Get me your average hit with a weapon and your average backstab with it. Backstabing 100+ with a spiderclaw dirk is gone and won't be coming back...that was a bug. However if backstab damage is a little too low now...I am open to adjusting it if someone gives me a good report on backstab.

Stormblade is not a backstabbing weapon. It's range is much too large, and it's damage isn't even that high.

What backstabbers have always done is invest in a good backstabbing weapon (skeleton bone, masterwork falchion, etc). Backstab with it, and switch weapons.
