I was thinking if an aura 'warning' message can be put in for everyone if their aura gets too extreme or when the threshold is reached between good and neutral and between neutral and evil. It would be handy in a place like Sigil if you're one mob away from being pinkish. It would be like the messages displayed by clerics when they are not in favor with their god. Either this or having a spell more powerful than know-aura could work, a spell that could make the player continuously aware of his own aura and telling him something like "Your attacks have become more aggressive" or "Your anger weakens your magical powers". I think it would be handy to track your own aura and not have to 'wait' through the period when you're neutral until you become either good or evil.
