When 'clear auto' is specified, auto attacks don't occur if you dodge an attack (as a rogue in my case). You can see this in the cap below!

(25 H 1 M 272X): The campus policeman missed you.
You slashed the campus policeman for 10 damage.
(25 H 1 M 272X): A flying squirrel just wandered away.
A flying squirrel just wandered away.
(25 H 1 M 272X): You laugh at the campus policeman as you easily dodge his attack.
(25 H 1 M 272X): Derlith is engulfed by the night.
The campus policeman missed you.
You slashed the campus policeman for 10 damage.
You killed the campus policeman.
You gained 42 experience for the death of the campus policeman.
The campus policeman was carrying: 18 gold coins.


Forgive me if this is a known issue, but I thought I'd at least throw it out there Smile.

I can't believe no one every told me about this....

btw, there's nothing about noauto in help set.

I'm either going to take it out or redo it, right now it prevents wimpy from working properly and quite possibly lag protect :P

It's always been buggy with wimpy. It's a real old feature from OG mordor, and I used to get smacked all the time on ChaosMUD when my 7 vig-slaves would run out of mp at Crystals Smile

This has been fixed, but autoattack still won't work with wimpy.

lol, an entertaining read <g>.

Also, FWIW, anytime a mob casts, or if you dodge/riposte an attack in some way then auto attack isn't activated either. Those are probably a bit uglier code fixes, and probably push you towards dropping the feature if anything.

IMO the conflict with wimpy and lag protection is part of the price you pay for setting auto attack. Making them play together nicely is just too kind a deed.
