Finally, some luck!

It turns out the 7.0.4 distro on the Ubuntu website doesn't work. I was able to download an older version and then upgrade.

So, after I installed Linux and Bane got everything upgraded properly, we found out that our donated server only has a 3.2g HD. My 4g spares aren't much better, so this weekend I'm going to go out and purchase a new HD, probably in the 20-30g range.

Luckily I was able to salvage a 20g. I've put it into the server and it should be all ready for Bane to work with.
