Ok, not lightmetal exactly, but how about something similar? Since we have darkmetal weapons/armor that are particularly strong/highly enchanted and function only in darkness/at night, why not light/daytime specific equipment? Having it crumble to dust at night/when putting it in a bag every time would be a bit much, so, instead, weaken its powers in those situations (AC for armor, average damage for weapons).

This might spice up the Kakkara Desert/Temple of Solaris area.

For example:

Objects may be smaller than they appear.
The magnifying glass is a blunt weapon.
It is reactive to sunlight.
It is in pristine condition.

At night/in darkness -
You bonked the greasy pig for 2 damage.

At day -
You scorched the greasy pig for 15 damage.

It is transparent, and looks capable of refracting light.
The prismatic dagger is a thrust weapon.
It is reactive to sunlight.
It is in pristine condition.

At night/in darkness -
You stabbed the greasy pig for 8 damage.

At day -
The prismatic dagger gleams in the light!
You stabbed the greasy pig for 21 damage.

The armor emits a faint glow, and is warm to the touch.
It is reactive to sunlight.
It is in pristine condition.

At night/in darkness -
You wear a solar platemail.

At day -
You wear a solar platemail.
The solar platemail begins to absorb light!

Or you could treat it like dark metal. Where darkness would destroy it. This would be interesting (especially in pk's). With the darkness spell in works during a pk if say... a vampire were to attack you wielding a darkmetal weapon you could cast the "light" spell to destroy the weapon. And vice versa during the day with the "dark" spell.

ALSO-

Set it so that darkmetal is red aura'd and lightmetal is blue aura'd.

Both are destroyed by the opposing day/night cycle.

Maybe we could even code in "specific" bags to hold either or. Like a "Glittering bag" or a "satchel of darkness". Glittering bag would be able to hold lightmetal items, and satchel of darkness would hold darkmetal.

Either way... if these were to be implimented, then light/dark spells would have to be readily available. Light/Dark bags (of a low carrying capacity) would have to be readily available as well. (What I mean by low capacity would be like... Hold 2 weapons or 2 pieces of armor tops)

Larger capacity bags would be harder to come by.
