Linothan Cleric Define: I see an elven or half/elven cleric has a wise and intelligent class that has ancient wisdom and history of the forest and the very beginnings of Derith. A priest that not only protects the forest like a druids but also banishes the evil that invades the forest to loot it of it's resources and vitality. Probably something of a mix of a Druid and Enoch Cleric.

Linothan Cleric Prerequites: Int, Pty

Clerics powers/skills
Turn, conjure (not as good a druid) , rejuvenate, pray

Clerics con/weakness
healing is between gradius and enoch. Probably like Aramon but without the penalty while healing others.

Alignment: LightBlue-Grey or Royal.. dunno

Clerics noncombat/RP Skills
Some kind of clairyoance or tracking skill

Armor: Light armor

Paladins Define: Probably something between an Enoch Paladin and a Ranger.

Paldin powers/skills
Turn, rejuvenate, pray, very good with missile weapons or a dual wield paladin.

Paladin con/weakness
Can't flee, same as gradius paladin

Paladin noncombat/RP Skills

I meant Linothan Paladins can't flee but vig like a gradius cleric.

Probably also pray gives more Int or (mental attunement with the oneness of the world instead of piety)

Cleric: Pet would do mental attacks versus magical?

I know Dro is very interested in doing an elven type class.

Linothan and Mara have to be put in at the same time...so might as well discuss her as well. Mara is the goddess of the nighttime forests, Linothan daytime. They are lovers that can only hang out together on full moons. Mara is neutral-good and Linothan is chaotic-good.

I also vote against any more pets...too many pets in the game already.

I also completely despise the idea or even the remote concept of an elven paladin. :P

I argue that a paladin is a holy warrior of a specific god - the standard D&D human paladin code of honor is relevant only to, say, Enoch. In my eyes, deathknights are essentially paladins of an evil god.

In essence, an elven paladin would simply be an elf who follows Linothans teachings in a militaristic way, whereas clerics follow in a more peaceful manner... if you say there shouldn't be elven paladins, there shouldn't be elven clerics, either!

Maybe it's more like an elven druid or an elven ranger? Not a heavy fighter but a fast and quick one. Not a true cleric or priest but one that is aligned wit the forest.

The idea of an Elven paladin is gay. Paladins should always be human, and maybe .01% of them half-elven. End of discussion.

Elves aren't paladins. Elves are RANGERS instead.

I don't buy into the 3rd edition nonsense of how you can be a halfling barbarian, or a dwarven mage!!!!!!!! Retardation I say!
