give rangers dual wield with the same weight!!

their proficiency with weapons should give them such an ability. It's a logical, very common advantage of being a ranger in a dual wield supported game.

Rangers use to be able to dual wield the same item. I think it was back before when rogues came out. So technically.. this would be considered a nerf and should be placed in the nerfed thread?

Agreed. It's actually counterintuitive to be able to wield weapons of different weights, and not be able to wield two of the same. Using weapons of different weights would be harder, because of balance issues/applying the right amount of force to swing them. It's not truly a nerf because you can still use your weapon of choice, it's just an incredible nuisance given that there is a strong tendency for weapons to have 5 weight (with anything heavier being two handed).
