I'm 100% for a purge and will be back playing at least an hour or so daily. I'd also be interested as I've told you several times in building again. The most fun I've had playing this game were after the last purge, when I came back and no one played and I have to start from scratch (about 3 months before Teeter pulled the plug), and then when we found you guys online and got the game back up before we had the old char files. Only request I have is to scale back the xp a little so its not a cakewalk to 40! I will be dedicated once again after a purge!

I really like lvl 1-15, and when the game economy isn't overloaded with shops.
I kind of miss 1999, but I was also 13 then and I'm being a bit nostalgic. The game needs to update.
1. Add a graphical interface if at all possible. Hell, I'll make it if you guys tell me exactly what you need.
2. Repair classes that need updates, remove those that you don't have time to fix, and add them back later. There's no reason a player should be a able to pick a class that's half working.
3. Tone down some of the high level grinding spots. You know what I'm talking about.
4. Add in a hearthstone to send people back to origin once every day or so. Hazy potions are like dollar bills because they're important. Let everyone have it access to it. It's a great way to not penalize people for exploring and getting stuck/lost.
5. Give all the players that hit 40 a free house or shop or something. Something that improves their playing experience without giving them a direct leveling benefit.
There's a small, but active community of Mudders out there, if you guys make it clear we're purging and welcoming back players on an even level you'll have a player base.
I just realized I never provided feedback for this issue:
I do feel like a purge would bring back more players (which would also give Bane more motivation to code as well). And as always, I am more than happy to help out with coding during my free time. I have everything set up now, after all.
For the next purge, I do have one request:
Increase the death penalty after level 10.
Right now, it's set at 2% of total experience. I took a poll a while ago from people and the majority was fine with raising it. I suggested an increase to 4%, which I calculated out and it's still fairly reasonable (at level 40, it'd take ~3 hours to regain lost experience ... versus now, where it'd take ~1 hour).
I'm not saying we have to go back to old RoH where you lose 25% or something, but I believe part of fun and glory of being high leveled as well as "playing it smart" has been lost by making death trivial.
Usagi <27> Werewolf. Sexy furball.
Plu <40> Mage/Thief. Pickpocketing for justice.
Ulp <40> Cleric (Ares). Lifts a ton, but can't spell it.
Miko <40> Cleric/Assassin (Aramon). She uses teeth.
Nili <40> Cleric (Gradius). Bearded woman.

I think it should be set it at a flat 8% for everybody over level 4.
And add a "hardcore mode" option at creation that makes it 20% all the time and removes auto-relevel. Benefit is you gain randomly 30-40% more experience than usual. It may not necessarily be this but a "hardcore mode" will probably be added of some similar nature.
And for the record, old RoH was 15% all the time, with auto-relevling added in about 6-9months after we opened.
It's crappy Isengard and basic mordor which had it at 25%.

With resurrection a possibility, there's no need to keep the exp loss so low.
There's also the debate about whether to remove exp loss as a death penalty, and do something else entirely. i.e. broken eq, gold loss, skill point losses, etc..I personally like the exp loss. Makes you pay for being a dumbass and not being careful enough.
