Rifrath made a good comment. What's the point of a purge when all you get are the same recycled idiots back. Seems like the only reason they want a purge is so they can get a "head start" for the expected influx of players Rolling Eyes But hey, if you're expecting an influx of players, I'm sure Disaron will be more than happy to make 90% of the MUD's characters and play with himself and Carpathia, he's already so used to playing with himself. Purge or not, I could care less, I only play to get that nostalgic feeling back which dissipates rather quickly these days. RoH will never be the same as it was back in 98.

Here's a short list of 98 RoH awesomeness:

1. Market Square had only one safe room
2. Deleveling
a. getting your item again
b. paying for your level again
3. Dual wielding the same weapon
4. DM quests
5. Bane skull fucks
6. Ocelot was actually on
7. Dominus wasn't a ******
8. Gavon
9. Mui
10. Bodhi

I dont understand how you can possibly have a problem with Dominus. If not for him, this thing would not even BE here right now. Are you retarded or just stupid? This kind of stupid attitude is probably why he lacks motivation to do anything here outside of real life. In fact, I'm the same way, and probably so is Bane. Why the fuck would any of us come back here and run this thing for people when some of you constantly shit upon the staff when all we've ever done is spend our expensive ass time providing a free service and attempting to grow and maintain this place? I just do not understand.

I remember back in the day when Ocelot would post his thanks for playing letters once a month. On it he would cite special moments he treasured interacting with the players and supporting the community by helping to develop interesting back stories for roleplayers, hinting at quests to keep things active, and helping new players get used to the game. He would often reminisce in his letters about how wonderful the players were, and how lucky and honored he was to have been able to support and develop a game that so many beautiful, smart, wonderful people could enjoy.

I can't even remember one time anyone ever had a problem with Ocelot, just droves of people all lauding his presence.

He dislikes Dominus because he and his boys were jailed multiple times for botting. Shit back in the day you would get dusted at like level 8 for botting.

I have been talking to longest about restoring the xp loss for deaths. This is the only thing I really want done other then a purge.

XP loss should exist, but not anywhere near where it was ten years ago. It was absolutely punishing, and made exploration nearly impossible without risking months of work.

Any mobs that are currently being exploited, or have some kind of weakness, need to be balanced. I can think of a few. Runelords and Chosen Golems have been the a reason some players have leveled so high so quickly.

It's important that the player base has an equal opportunity to level. That includes making mistakes, so although I think keeping the resurrection perms out of the origin, I don't believe that requesting for leveling items or the huge xp losses are needed. I would suggest making the xp loss somewhere between what it is now, and what it was then.

And yeah, Oce. I was joking.

I apologize. It's always hard for me to determine the intentions of retarded people. They just make funny faces and weird noises about everything. Now I know you can translate for me. Smile
