I'm adding support for items you wear to bestow effects. Put on a ring, suddenly you can breathe water. Woot!

To put this in, I want to reduce the number of rings you can wear to 2. No way I'm letting someone get 8 effects from 8 rings. How much do rings currently contribute to your armor? If the answer is only a little, then I won't care about doing-away with the rings-as-armor concept. If the answer is a lot, then I'll have to take another approach (example: if you're wearing one of these new rings, you're only allowed to wear 1 other ring).

This code just entered the testing phase, so it's still a ways off yet.

I like the idea of rings that give effects, but can you still make it so we can wear 8 rings in all? But only 2 that grant effect. I don't know how much ROPs help armor but I do know the armor value of other rings.

Alanthium Corbite Ring: 13
Mithril Ring of Protection (+3): 17
Mithril Ring of Protection (+4): 22
Mithril Ring of Protection (+5): 26
Primevil Ring of Chaos (+4): 35
Efnor's Ancient Ring (+4): 40

Now granted with the exception of the corbite rings, those rings are lore, and pretty difficult to get, but with a set of those 5 lore rings, and 3 ala corbites, that would give you an armor of 179 from just rings alone.

gold emblem ring = 8
blacksand signet ring = 8
astral driftmetal = 8
Trinidad ring = 8
ring of protection = 8

seems like most rings are 8 but the lore rings. but i still think rings are helpful to armor. specially if you got the huk set up. his idea though of being only allowed to wear two of the new rings at a time would work out.

might be able to easily code a command like prep. i.e. have the player choose which rings he wants in effect

choose effectring 1
choose effect ring 2


just a basic example.

Wax the 8 rings, and turn it into:
2 wrist
2 shoulder
4 generic rings spots (only 2 give effects still..maybe 3, if not 2 on ears or finger):
- earring
- nose/lip/eye/tongue/or whatever
- finger

And rings of any kind should not change AC unless it's magically granted...i.e. ring of protection
