Signed on yesterday and chose a title that I thought was quite tame and related to my class. Title was Shinobi, which is the Japanese word for Ninja, one who conceals them self. In Final Fantasy, the thief class became the ninja class after some leveling which is why I chose the title. I feel that it was neither inappropriate or unrelated to my class and would like to know why it was reset back to Shadow Mistress. Perhaps my other inappropriate title would be more suitable? Sadistic Vulva?

Nah, you just weren't logged on so I could set the flag to let you re-choose a title. But if you want to be like that, you're free to be stuck with the standard title for the next 3 levels.

Not that it matters but...The thief upgrades to ninja after trading the "tail" (found in the Castle of Ordeals after defeating a zombie dragon) to Bahamut...leveling has nothing to do with it...

I think somewhere we once had a naming policy that clearly spelled out that this MUD was in English, and crap in other languages, if found to be inappropriate, would not be allowed.

I think it would be polite to just let him have Shinobi, it doesn't hurt anything and he put in the hours of work to earn the title. Sometimes miscommunications between players and DMs can make people a bit abrasive, but this isn't worth making a fuss over.
