On another note, if we know people are new to the MUD or old players that are returning and not familiar with the basics ... can we not pick on them?

I understand the old pkilling spirit and whatnot. But it's also nice if we can expand the number of our players. And not scare people off while they're still trying to learn the MUD.

I've witnessed enough of this already. And I don't want to rape people for doing so. But I don't like seeing it.

Please stop.

Unlike Usagi, I have no qualms about raping people for crap like this.

This behavior needs to stop, or something will be done to stop it entirely. I strongly advise not terrorizing new players. It'd be a real shame to have to put in a global nopkill switch for the mud...i.e. turn off pkilling entirely. You guys have a choice...simply stop picking on and/or harassing new people, or deal with the consequences of making the game less fun for yourselves.

I AM NOT MENTIONING NAMES, SO DON'T BE RESPONDING AND "DEFENDING YOURSELF" AND WASTING YOUR TIME. I AM ONLY SPEAKING GENERALLY.

As far as botters go, this will stop now. If I catch you botting, and you are a repeat offender, be prepared to start over with that character. If you do it again, be prepared to start over with one of your OTHER characters as well. Enough is enough. We're sick of seeing it. Time for zero tolerance.

Be aware that if you're a new player and you figure something out, and wished it was on the wiki, throw it up there.

Keep in mind that it's as much a resource for new players as it is for old ones. I still check the wiki when it comes to town maps, perm names, and class abilities every once in a while. I wish I knew of more interesting areas to go explore that I never really gave a chance, it would be great if more small areas were on the wiki.

wtf? why does my name keeping up? i already talked to dominus about my zmud reconnecting. my 'botting' was not intentional. My character had a timer set for sneak while I was at the computer, then i had to go so i typed 'quit' while over the ocean. Zmud autoreconnected and that is why I was in the middle of the ocean. Why would I leave myself out in the middle of the ocean so Mulva's gay ass can come and pk me? Let's be real...

Mulva, I haven't seen you do it before.

And the only circumstances under which I'll agree with it is ... yes, botters. Botters are free-for-all Smile
