All Time Greatest Monday, February 8th, 2010 at 6:59 pm
I've decided to make a poll of the All Time Greatest of each class (with exception of the multi-classes *sorry plu*).
Here's how it's gonna go down.
- Nominations will be open for the next week
- The top 5 players with the most nominations will be eligible for the title
- Each player can only nominate 1 player of each class
- Once all nominations are complete I will open a poll that will be open for a week
This isn't meant to be a list of "highest level player...etc" but more so players for each class who had the most impact in the MUD and for that class specifically.

All but 5 of your players are from '99. That's sort of a difficult question to ask in my opinion. It depends on how you're defining 'impact'. Either way, I'd have to nominate Dierdre in place of that noob Zerk :P

Also, the only consensus picks on that list I think everyone can agree on is Archon for monk, and Thena for assassin. Monks were tweaked in a fashion that would never allow another Archon, and Thena is a consensus pick more so because of her ability to dominate in the aspect of pkilling. Either way, there are way too many interpretations of 'impact' for this poll to be successful. Give a better explanation as to your definition of impact..

Well those were the years I was most active...so for me, they're my picks...These are just nominations anyway.
As far as impact goes? It's open to your interpretation...I don't want this to be a popularity contest of active players that's why most of my nominations are so old school.
So...nominate whoever you feel has contributed to the game or really made a name for themselves as a particular class. Pick whoever you want, you don't need to justify your nominations...if other people agree/disagree they can make their own nominations.
For some players, like Archon, Veener and Thena, I could've nominated them for multiple classes seeing how Archon played as Lexington, Sauron...etc, Veener played as Voxon, Snoozy...etc, and Thena played as Darkmoon, Death...etc...But I picked who I thought their most significant class was...even though Sauron might've been a good choice.
And sure I could've listed at least half a dozen names for each class, from 99-present, but I named more or less the first ones that came to mind for each category.
Soooo, just pick people who come to mind, that's what I did.

For everyone -- Feel free to nominate other classes instead of just commenting on my nominations...in fact -- if you want to message them to me instead that might be best...
That way this thread doesn't turn into a huge debate...etc. We can debate once the actual poll is up

I think of Delta as a fighter and not a cleric, so my vote goes to (surprise, surprise): Disaron - for sticking it out with a crappy class, crappy stats, and dying so much. He has proven to be the penultimate Cleric: Take a million beatings and keep on going. Disaron (+1)
