As I'd like to increase the playerbase a little, I'm considering putting in a bonus for referrals/recruitment of new players that stick around for so many levels.

Some options I'm considering are:
1) Gold (Based on player level and/or level the new guy gets to)
2) Double exp (Length/amount based on level new guy gets to)
3) Other possible rewards: Unlocking of a hardcore Oceancrest character?
4) Bonus items/customs?


Thoughts?

I think game would more easily net players if all the people logged on 1/2 the time weren't at or nearly at max level.

A solution doesn't require a purge though.

Some kind of contest or special incentive to start new characters is always fun and interesting. I remember the goblin caster contest that Gumba won, for who could level a goblin mage/lich the highest the fastest.

I would put in major incentive for people to write stories, put text captions, actually *use* their Guild Pages, and otherwise roleplay.

Ocelot's stories were great.

Anything that makes me want to play because I see you guys having tons of fun and adventures, is great.

Even captions of killing your leveling monster is great.

Lowbies should not be discouraged from putting up their captions of getting the stun spell for the first time or disintegrating something with turn.

And, if someone wanted to sponsor a month of Google Adwords, it could do a ton of good, too.
