I think it's fair enough that anyone that manages to survive a certain level is able to keep their character. When you say items will be retained as the winner, does that mean everything in their inventory, gold, and all that as well? Or just equipment?

It would seem fair to only let the winner keep their stuff, if it's everything they've found while in Oceancrest. Or else one could just make a whole bunch of characters to transport stuff over (if there is really anything worth keeping).

The only thing I'd be hesitant about letting someone keep from oceancrest is the resist-magic scroll if anyone gets it.

Being as low level as we are, I doubt anyone will be close to getting it any time soon. I could be wrong...

After one month of grueling torture high adventure, the Hardcore Halloween Tournament has come to an end. The winners are:


1: In first place is Citarre at level 20.

2: In second place is Thade at level 13.

3: In third place is Armand at level 11.
But, since Armand IS Thade and I never specified if you can have more than one winner, I'm going to split the third-place prize money between Thade and:
4: In fourth place is Sasuke at level 8.


All characters level 7 or above were allowed to keep their characters, though only Citarre was allowed to keep her equipment (everyone else washed up onto the shores of Derlith naked).

This was loads of fun and definitely challenging! I look forward to more events like this one -- not necessarily as harsh or rewarding, but just something to keep the community active. While exploring Oceancrest was very time consuming and a little nerve-racking at times, I'm surprised not more people were involved in this with such high stakes.
