Traps.

Thieves
Assassins
Rogues
Rangers

Would all have the trap skill to varying degrees. It would be dex based and require components.

A trap can be set once every minute for a thief, two minutes for an assassin, and three minutes for ranger and rogues. If you fail you take damage and are stunned, so doing them in dangerous places can be a bad idea. If you succeed the next perm, mob, player that enters or spawns in the room will have to make a save based on how well you set your trap or be effected by it. It will not make the target aware of your presence if you are hidden, but will attack you if they can see you.

There would be three traps.

Snare trap - the victim cannot move from the room or flee based on how well you set the trap.
Spike trap - the victim takes damage based on how well you set the trap.
Jaw trap - the victim is stunned based on how well you set the trap.
