an arena in which multiple players can type 'join duel' and all become summoned to another place (around 50+ rooms) and have a free for all with cool weapons, wands, armor, spells etc. to look for one another in a battle royale

last player standing wins...and when you die you get ported back to the clouds of highport and lose all the extras you had found while at the arena

I'd make three Arenas. The free for all arena, The duelists arena, and the team arena.

Duelists would be just a few rooms, mainly for two players to run around and grab hax items to beat on each other with.

Free for all would be an abandoned castle filled with hidden exits and booby traps. Probably around 40+ rooms.

Team arena would be two keeps, with a large middle area. So players can team up against opposing players. This area would be much bigger, maybe 80+ rooms.

Each one would have items to grab, the team arena would have healing fountains in the bases.

Mainly what I think I'd do is make an area of like 10-50 rooms in the "arena" area. There'd be some potions, some weapons, some wands scattered around, maybe from killing some 0 exp, noexp loss monsters.

Any arena item would be nodrop, and would poof when logging off, or leaving the arena. Furthermore all effects would be dispelled when leaving (or in the future when I store where effects are from, only arena effects).

There would be no safe rooms (The entire area would be free for all pkill) but would possibly be some hidden exits and such.

oo i like the team arena..how about a game of capture the flag?!?! haha

I actually hope the items wont be flag as No drop. when weapons break as no drop, they can't be droped, and ends up being bulky. Another thing wold be what if we pick up something we can't use, or pick up a weapon and items, and end up finding something better. Then we might not be able to pick up due to bulk. that's my only concern, but having a dueling arena sounds great.

Well there's a bug to fix.....Broken NoDrop items need to be able to be dropped (so long as they are noRepair)

Ah, capture the flag would be cool.

You could have it, that when someone dies, they get a death penalty which would keep stacking upon deaths, DP would reduce health/mp and inorder to regain it you have to kill an opposing member, but only have your penalty raise slightly. And say if team A has team B's flag at their base for a certain time, they get a morale boost lifting death sickness by a higher % than killing someone. And if you could also add Morale boosts. Say you have the opposing team flag for 5minutes. You get increased hp/mp.
