Then think of ways to counter act them EXCEPT classes keeping mp. They WILL lose it...there is no discussion in this matter. The entire staff agrees with this...If i continue to see complaints about it and not valid ideas (ie: alchemy for know-aura etc) I'll just stop coding...it's damn annoying. You can discuss alternatives...but no more discussion on classes losing mp...it's over...done. got it?


Instead, give us some GOOD ideas instead of re-hashing stuff I've already discussed 500 times.

So torches run out, lets add in some more torches, or adjust torch code? It hasn't been touched since mordor 3...it's due for an update. We could add in more perm light holding items...we could *gasp* add in a song like eliza's enlightening melody!?!


So people don't have the HP...well guess what, If we remove MP...I'm open to adjust their hp, add in alternative healing methods, or such. Think of ways that can be done instead of again complaining about mp.


We're giving bards AN ASS LOAD OF SONGS instead of spells...bards != casters, bards = singers. I'm hoping to put in a song to replace every spell they'd otherwise need...so seriously enough with that argument....come up with some names for songs, some new and interesting ones we could put in that'll REPLACE their need for spells.


also: Mages are NOT being talked about now, they will be talked about once we've done a lot more planning work on them...Oce is right now in the process of getting us a spell list. This thread: BARDS ONLY.



So now that I've gotten that out of the way. Anything else to say about new BARDS? New song ideas? New ability ideas? Song name ideas? Quest ideas? yada yada yada.

Bard Songs,

Epic of Equivocation
Increase the dodge % of you and all party memebers
Song of Celerity
Increases the hit timer of you and all party memebers
Confession of Convalescence
Increases the heal hp/mp timer for you and all party members
Tail of The Interminable
When you or a party member hit zero or less HP from any source you flee automatically for free without the HP loss.

i see ppl complaining about healing, and i'll tell u there's a more stuff for healing up there, but due to not many ppl playing beserkers, not many ppl know about it as much. for instance yellow certain yellow molds, leafs, and other food items are around. Plus most classes that dont have mp will prolly tick decently with con. I really dont have much of an issue with my beserkers and healing items.

Zerkers play weird, just expect all classes to play like that.

Hopefully all players will know where to find that stuff.

well, i'm sure more pots will be more easily access in the future. Alchemy was brought up before, which might be a good idea. I wouldn't worry too much, i'm sure the staff will make sure it's well balanced. Let's just see what happens.

I will make suggestions too, but I'd like to know if bards are going to have song specializations, or just a lot of songs that can be obtained through questing or being the right level.

I'd love to have bards differentiated (from each other)...if you can think of a good way to do it I'm open for suggestions.

I was thinking that since lvls above 30 will be put in, specilizations can be intergrated there. lvl 1-30 can be consider basic training, and from then on, 31-50 would be a specialization of a more certain skill/type. Kinda like how someone wanted fire mages or ice mages. u might be able to do a bard that specializes in more group support, and some more in offence and being more independent from grouping a bit.

Just like spells I think these songs could be recycled/renamed and given increased effects for higher levels.
Battle Chant - Increases Armor/Atk/(Dex at higher lvls)
Banshee Wail - Decreases target(s) HP by X per tick
Song of Haste - Increases Atk speed by X%
Hymn of Revitalization - Increases HP by X per tick
Warsong - Increases Atk Speed by X%/Armor/Atk
Aaron's Lugubrious Lament - Reduces mob hate/% to keep mob charmed per tick
Magical Monoglogue - Temp Enchants weapon +X
Elemental Rhythms - Increases Spell Resist X %
Charismatic Carillon - Increases target Faction X%
Song of Purification - Acts as slow poison/group slow poison
Lucid Lullaby - Charm Target / Set hate to 0
Aquatic Ayre - Breathe-water during song
Guardian Rhythms - Increases Armor/Resists by X%
Sonorus Serenade - Single/Party invis & detect-invis
Chains of Dissonance - Slow target / decrease target Armor
Disenchanting Melody - % Chance to dispel (1 or more) spells from target
Song of Sight - Infravision / Ultravision / Detect-Invis / Detect-magic
Heartwarming Rapsody - Warmth
Dreadful Screech - % chance to scare/fear
Song of Vitality - Increase HpMax by X% / Increase Hp by X per tick
Avian Aria - Flight / Levitate
Chorus of Clarity - Increase Mana Regen by X / Increase Mp by X per tick
