I think it's a great idea, so long as the staff has nothing to do with adding content to it. We have enough to do as it is right now.

Yah....a wiki for player generated content would be fine.

Maybe we could post stuff like 2.5 plans on there when they're finished :P

So much of Realms has become second knowledge to the older players that you see the leveling abilities differ from one crowd to the next. I could see it being a boon to the game if players had a place to go for help that didn't require bugging CTs and other players.

Also, with all the upcomming changes, it would be nice to see the updates real time with player's reactions and opinions without searching through a forum. It would also be a fantastic way to compile dynamic class guides with tips and strategies.

Actually, I think the forum needs to be the primary area for discussions and opinions, not a wiki. Otherwise what is the point of this forum?

It still is.

But for things like guides and strategy a wiki style would be far superior.

It also condenses what would take hundreds of threads to cover in an easy to navigate format.

Forum = Announcements + Discussion

Wiki = Knowledgebase

I've installed the wiki on my local copy of the website and believe I have everything working.

The website will be getting a new layout as well. When this gets in (within a week) depends on how much free time I have!

The wiki uses a different user management than this part of the website, so the two will remain separate, but you will use the same user name and password on both sections of the site.
