With the recent changes to properties, the mud is now able to support adding new property types easily. These two immediately come to mind:

* Guild Halls
* Personal Houses

With guildhalls, I also want to put some work into the forum so a special guild board is created whenever a new guild is founded and the board is deleted whenever the guild is disbanded.

Another suggestion we have for properties involves a bulletin (an in-game object) where people can read and leave messages.


So the questions for you are: what other property types would you like to have in this game, and what other features do you want coded for properties?

One thing I'd like to see for guildhalls is a guild shop. The shop could be stocked by any member of the guild and the proceeds could be divvied evenly among guild members.

Additionally, with houses, it would be cool if players could choose from several different stock designs that would vary in price. Something like the following:

All prices dependent on house size and location.

small house (1 room)

medium house (2 rooms)

large house (4 rooms)
 _ _ _

mage tower (5 rooms: multi-level)

This way we could let players have some control over their house design and not have to worry about actual editing...etc.

I like the idea of some pre-laid out plans. But I think we also plan on allowing extra rooms to be purchased and added to the existing structure as funds dictate.

If we could somehow incorporate making the house a hidden exit for an additional fee, that would be cool.

This will actually be easy to do. Guild halls (a property) point to a guild for membership. A shop would work the same - point the shop to a guild, and then all members of the guild are partial owners.

Just a little bit of working deciding where the money goes and we're set.

For properties: transfer/sale/etc of property. Basically one character giving a property to another character.

For sale of shops, storage rooms, could have city charge a transaction fee/estate tax.

Besides restricting it to guildhouses, can it be made player houses at the same time?
