The $3 Million Dollar Incongruity Challenge
Thursday, February 21st, 2008 at 7:51 pmEdits: 2   Last Edit: Wed, 27 Feb 2008 12:35 pm
A new quest has been announced!

With the new racial changes, most classes are open to many more, if not all, races. This creates the possibility of many strange characters, such as dwarven liches, trollkin mages, and kobold monks.

To increase roleplay, the DMs will be sponsoring a new quest:

The first person to attain the 16th level while playing either a:

1) Seraphic Berserker
or
2) Goblin Mage
or
3) Kataran Mage

will win two things:

1) $1.5 million
and
2) A statue/painting that will become a permanent item in the game.

An example of such is the painting of Gumba, the Handsome Goblin Mage, which many of you have seen in the goblin whorehouse of Woodinville. Examples of statues are those of Hanzo and Delta in the dwarven bath house of Ironguard Keep. No, you will not be enshrined as an adamantium statue, as that is reserved for characters who have reached the 30th level.

The idea is that while Delta may offer 1.5 million, and Disaron may offer 2 million, only the DMs can offer you a permanent fixture that will survive any purge! =)

Details:

1) You MUST roleplay in order to win the prize, in a way that fits your "strange" background.

2) If you do not roleplay, or roleplay poorly, you will not win the prize. That means if you're the first person to get a level 16 seraphic berserker, but don't roleplay, then someone else who gets a level 16 seraphic berserker after you will win.

3) As part of the requirements, you must submit a character history. For examples, see Highlights under Game Related in the menu.

4) The DMs are sponsoring this quest (i.e. providing the prizes.)

5) I (Delta) will be judging the quest; in other words, deciding the winner. This also means that I will not be competing for the prize.

Hafling werewolf !
Tiefling Berserker !
Barbarian Thief!
Minotaur Mage!

Need i go on? It shouldn't be limited if you're going to have a contest. Although I have no idea how much dom opened up the choices.

Dom wanted only 2 when he asked me to write it up. Troll mage and minotaur mage aren't as bad stats-wise as goblin mage because they don't have -3 INT. Same idea for tiefling berserker vs seraphic berserker.

Whatever works; if Delta thinks more bad-stat combos are good to include, then I'd be happy to have them in the contest.

No way, barbarians get +1 Dex! Anyway, the prime req for a thief is Dex, and the worst any race has is -1 Dex, so I don't really think thief would be included in the challenge, unless you had -1 Dex and -2 Str (Seraph/Gnome).

No, you can only enter it into my personal challenge, not the DM-sponsored one. Remember that the DM-sponsored challenge is the only one that will give you a permanent painting/statue.

I'm adding another option for this challenge (DM one): Kataran Mage.

Check that baby out - great stats!
