Mobs and perms that berserk suck to fight again. They suddenly increase their dmg by 50% and rate of dmg by 50%. That's an effective 125% increase in damage. (Say you have a mob that hits 30 every 3 seconds = 10 dmg/sec. Berserked, hits 45 every 2 seconds = 22.5 dmg/sec.)
The good thing is that mobs and perms only berserk when they are hurt and enraged enough, i.e. when their description says, "big nasty wounds and scratches." That means it only has about 1/3 of it's total life left.
But any of you who have fought Br, the berserking dwarven warriors, or Kralle know that that last 1/3 can kill you. So save a final powerful blow against berserking mobs. Examples are:
1) Smother, or other powerful attack (holyword, harm, and the likes). Be creative - you can group with an assassin and have him backstab the mob when it berserks.
2) Larger group.
3) Read scrolls, use iceblade wands, etc.
