In an attempt to fix some of the power leveling problems, I have a suggestion that may work, if it is possible to code.

In Everquest 2, they had a system where to group you had to be within 5-6 levels. This prevented lowbies from power leveling with higher guild mates. The only option you had if you wanted to group with someone not in your range is if they mentored down to your level. This would result in their skills being leveled to the level of the character they were grouping with. They would get less xp, and the one being mentored would get a 5% xp bonus.

Example:

Disaron (level 40), Kefka (20), Zale (22), Plu (24), Carpathia (23) all want to group. Disaron mentors Plu, thus lowering his level and skills to level 24. Now they could all group, and Plu would get a 5% bonus.

Disaron (40), Kefka (20), Zale (22), Plu (24), Carp (23), Gitan (40). Disaron would mentor Plu, Gitan would mentor Carp, then all could group, the two being mentored would recieve 5% bonus.

This would eliminate problems with group leveling. As it is now, a level 30 circler or stunner can circle, not hit a mob, and the level 10 mage can get full xp. It would also eliminate botting, etc etc.

Hmm, this idea has some merit. Then we could put in the level restrictions on group experience that Dom wanted without ruining grouping.

I'll discuss with him.
